Your commissions will come directly from Cognigen. If you recruit sub-agents, they will, like you, receive a 6% commission on their own sales, and you will receive a 1% override on their sales, and on each of your "downline" agents six levels deep. When an agent achieves $5000 in personal monthly revenue, commission to that agent will be increased to 7%, and upline override commissions will be reduced to 5 levels. At $20,000 monthly revenue, commission will be increased to 8%, and upline overrides will be reduced to 4 levels. At $50,000 monthly revenue, commission will be increased to 9%, and upline overrides reduced to 3 levels. At $100,000 monthly revenue, agent commission goes to 10%, and in that case only 2 levels of upline 1% override commissions will be paid. Cognigen will provide web sites to your sub-agents, as well as paying commissions to them, and paying you override commissions. Your private web page on this server will give you instant access to information about all accounts you have signed up, including the most recent three months' usage and commission data, updated as it is received electronically from our vendors.

We enforce a small number of rules, outlined at the bottom of the signup form below, but they are all based on good business common sense. There is no charge of any kind for you to become a representative.

Your base commission will be 6% of your customers' usage for the life of the account, as long as commissions are paid by the underlying provider, which is expected to be for the life of each account. Base commissions will increase to a level as high as 10%, as outlined above.

After you submit the signup form below, you will be emailed a password, which you must enter on a private representative's web page in order to validate your status -- so it is extremely important that you enter your correct email address on the form.

1) You may receive commission on your own account, however, no commissions will be payable to you until you have usage on a minimum of four of the accounts you have signed up. These four accounts may be on any combination of the services we offer; for example, it could be 1 NetCall account, 1 GlobalTel account, 1 Planet Earth account, and 1 VoCall calling card purchase. If you signed up for a service before becoming an agent, you may contact your sponsor after you have 3 customers showing usage and ask that your personal account be transferred to your agency. Until then, your account will remain with your sponsor.

2) If your commission in any given month totals less than $20.00, your commissions will accrue until such time as an amount greater than $20.00 is due. You may set this minimum commission amount to a smaller value using your private page.

3) If you set the minimum commission amount to any value less than $50, Cognigen Communications will withhold a processing fee of $5.00 from each commission check paid. If the value is set to $50 or more, there will be no such fee. The default value for minimum commission check is currently $20.

4) Commissions will be paid after the twenty eighth of each month for all commissions received by Cognigen to the last day of the prior calendar month.

5) Do not submit this form unless the email address above is valid. In order to validate your status as a representative, a password will be automatically generated and emailed to you at that address. You must then visit your private web page on this server, at http://ld.net/private, where you will enter your chosen ID and password. You may use that page to change your password and any of the other data entered above except for your ID code. That private page will also offer instant reporting on accounts you have submitted, and monthly updates on their usage and the status of your commissions due.

6) It is unfortunate that we must do this, however, in the event that an agent sends out unsolicited commercial email, or engages in improper usenet Newsgroup postings (spamming), we have no choice but to cancel our agreement with any agency engaging in the improper conduct. It is not our desire to do so, because we realize that our agents are hard-working and industrious, but because of accepted internet practices, Cognigen's ability to operate on the net would be jeopardized if we tolerate such activity! If you spam, we must cancel you! It's either you or us... :D

Commissions of agents cancelled due to violation of this policy are contributed to the Make a Wish Foundation. Barring such misconduct, commissions shall be payable to you for the life of each account.

7) We support and encourage your business in using your own web site to promote the business, however, all orders must be submitted using the cgi scripts in the web pages we will automatically generate for you. You have the option of marketing the services we offer through links to our cgi scripts from your web pages, and there is no requirement that you use the web pages we generate for you.

8) Additional products and services will be made available for you to (optionally) market in the future, commissionable at the same rate of 6% to 10 percent. Payment of commissions by Cognigen is always contingent on receipt of commission payment from the appropriate service provider to Cognigen.

9) In cases where commission is paid on billed revenue, customer usage shown on the web site is reduced by 11%, to cover the costs of commissions paid on uncollectable accounts. This currently applies only to Qwest Residential and to KallCents service. A year end "true up" each December will credit or debit each agent for actual discounts and/or commission recalls due to unpaid customer billings. Agents are not held responsible for bad debt, but only for the commission paid on bad debt accounts. On RoadTel's $0.149/minute calling card, reported usage is reduced by 20%, because 12% total commission would not otherwise be possible.
